Chris Roth

I am a technical expert in Data Science and Data Engineering with nearly two decades of experience split between Academia and Industry.

My goal in applying with Scatter Global would be to find an industry fit that would allow me and my wife to live and be in community with a group of believers who would benefit from some mature believers. We live in Waldheim, home of OM's Mike Hack, where there is a large support network for missionaries. I have spent 8 years as an Elder at Salem church.

Roles in leadership like Staff, Principal, Senior Manager, Director, or CTO in the fields of Data Science, Machine Learning, or Data Engineering are what I would match up with. I have experience beyond a Senior Data Scientist on both the management and technical (Principal or Staff) paths and am suited to either.

My technical skills include Python, SQL, data orchestration / data pipelines, analytics, machine learning, docker. I can do web development, but I am not a front end developer.

My soft skills include problem solving and building unity of direction in collaborative work. I thrive at mentoring Junior and Intermediate Data Scientists and Data Engineers. I am a capable at doing product management. I lean on others for project management.
